Membership:

All women over the age of 18 are welcome at a LOCO Roller Derby practice as long as they are insured or have signed a waiver and have the proper equipment. Men are welcome to train as refs pending board approval. It costs $5 to skate with us, and your first night is free. You may also purchase a 10 skate card for $40.

Regular skaters are expected to submit a $5 monthly dues fee in addition to their nightly charge. Dues may be paid a year in advance during the month prior to the AGM (Annual General Meeting). You may also purchase voting rights for league meetings with a one-time $10 payment. Regular skaters must also purchase insurance. You can purchase insurance for the year through CWRDA for $45 or a 3-month-trial of $20. We also accept RSC insurance.

Equipment is available for loan. Email us before you attend practice and we’ll make sure we have everything you need. See our FAQ for more information on what you need to bring, what to wear, etc.

Insurance:

We are required to carry league insurance. LOCO Roller Derby is insured with the Canadian Women’s Roller Derby Association (CWRDA).

Canadian National Coverage is available to LOCO Roller Derby members for $45.00 CDN. Please speak one of us at your first or next practice for more information on how to sign up. We require all regular skaters to have insurance coverage. You must sign a waiver prior to your first practice, and it will remain in effect permanently. If you do not submit your Insurance documents and payments, you will not be allowed to scrimmage with LOCO Roller Derby.

To pre-complete your waiver document and insurance document, please ask for one at your next practice, or download them from the downloads page.
